Beifang Univesity of Nationality
Beifang Univesity of Nationality is located in Xixia District, the capital of Yinchuan, the capital of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, and directly under the National Ethnic Affairs Committee. It is the only comprehensive university in China which is established in the minority autonomous region. The school was founded in 1984, its predecessor was The Second Northwest University for Nationalities, in 2004, the National People's Committee signed a co construction agreement with the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. In 2007, it was excellent in the evaluation of the teaching level of the Ministry of education. In 2008 5, the Ministry of Education approved the name of Beifang Univesity of Nationality, and the Ministry of education, the Ministry of education and the Ningxia district. . HeFei University of Technology's counterpart supports Beifang Univesity of Nationality.
As of 2013, the total area of the school was 1624 mu, and the total building area of the school building was 400 thousand square meters. Fixed assets of 840 million yuan, of which the total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is more than 200 million yuan, and 1 million 240 thousand books are collected in the library. There are 21 teaching colleges and 6 research institutes. There are 63 undergraduate majors, 6 first level master's degree programs, 28 two level master's degree programs and 1 master's degree programs. The undergraduate course covers 10 disciplines: economics, law, pedagogy, literature, history, science, engineering, medicine, management, and art.
The school enlists 31 provinces and autonomous regions. There are 56 ethnic groups with 1.8 or more full-time students studying and living together in school. The school has won the title of "the advanced collective of national unity and progress" in the autonomous region. The national Greening Committee has awarded the honorary title of "400 good units of national greening" and named the "garden type unit" by the people's Government of Yinchuan.
