Beihang University

The Beihang University, abbreviated as North Airlines, is directly subordinate to the Ministry of industry and information technology of People's Republic of China. The central direct management of the Deputy ministerial level is the "211 Project" and "985 Project". It is selected as the "Mount Everest plan", "2011 plan", "111 plan", "excellent engineer education training plan", for the international aerospace Federation, "China EU Elite University Alliance", "China Spanish University Alliance", "China Russia Engineering University Alliance", is one of the first batch of 16 key universities in the country, one of the first batch of 22 colleges and universities in the country after the restoration of the degree system in 80s, and also the first Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics in New China.

Beihang University was founded in 1952, by the Tsinghua University, Beiyang University, Xiamen University, Sichuan University and other eight colleges and universities of the aeronautics Department merged and formed. In April 1988, the State Education Committee approved, the Beijing aeronautical college was renamed as the Beihang University; 1989, the school became the country 85 during the 14 national weight. In 1997, the school entered the ranks of the national "211 projects" in the construction of colleges and universities; in 2001, the school entered the ranks of the national "985 Project" construction; in 2011, the school became one of the national "Mount Everest plan" institutions; in 2012, the school was selected as the first "2011 plan".

As of March 2016, the school owned 2 schools in Xueyuan Road and Shahe, covering an area of 3000 mu, with a total building area of more than 170 million square meters; 30 colleges under jurisdiction, 61 undergraduate majors and 29951 full-time students, including 15466 undergraduate and 9113 graduate students, 4305 graduate students, and foreign stay in academic degrees in school. There were 1067 students and 3833 employees, including 2387 full-time teachers, 1726 professors and associate professors, and 78% of the full-time teachers had doctoral degrees.
