Zhejiang Normal University

Zhejiang Normal University, formerly known as Hangzhou normal college, was founded in 1956. It was upgraded to Hangzhou Normal University in 1958. In 1962, Hangzhou Normal University merged with Zhejiang College of Education and Zhejiang Institute of physical education. It was renamed Zhejiang normal college. In 1965, Zhejiang Normal College moved from Hangzhou to Jinhua. In 1980, it was listed as a provincial key university. It was renamed to Zhejiang Normal University in 1985. In 2000, 2001 and 2004, Zhejiang Financial school, Zhejiang kindergarten normal school and Jinhua railway driver school were merged into one after another. In 2014, the "training program for excellent teachers" was selected. In May 15, 2014, the office of the provincial government approved the relocation of the Zhejiang Normal University Jing Zhi college to Lanxi, and all the freshmen in 2017 were enrolled in the Lanxi campus.

The school is located in Jinhua, Zhejiang. As of May 2017, it covers an area of more than 3300 mu, with a building area of more than 100 square meters. The total value of teaching and scientific research instrument and equipment is 480 million yuan. There are 19 colleges and 68 majors, more than 2830 in-service faculty and more than 25300 full-time students, more than 5300 graduate students (including professional degree graduate students), more than 2000 students abroad, and more than 16000 students of all kinds of adult higher education.
