The school was born in 1911, based on the American refundable part of the "Boxer Indemnity". It was named after the Tsinghua Yuan in the northwest suburb of Beijing. It was first called "Qinghua school". It was the reserve school set up by the Qing government. The next year it was renamed "Tsinghua School"; the local cultivation for the attempt of talent, the establishment of the University Department in 1925, and the renaming of the name in 1928. Tsinghua University is one of the most famous institutions of higher learning in China and in Asia.
