Sichuan University
Sichuan University, referred to as "Sichuan University", is directly subordinate to the Ministry of education of People's Republic of China. The Central Committee is directly under the establishment of the Deputy ministerial level. It is listed as "211 Project" and "985 Project". It is selected as "2011 plan", "Mount Everest plan", "111 plan", "excellent engineer education training plan", "high level overseas talent introduction plan". With graduate school and postgraduate qualification, it is a comprehensive national key university.
Sichuan University has been merged into two major national universities, including the former Sichuan University, the former Chengdu University of science and technology, and the three key universities of the former West China Medical University. The original Sichuan University began in Sichuan, Sichuan, which was founded in 1896 by the governor of the governor of Sichuan. It was the earliest modern higher school in the southwest of China. The former University of science and technology was the first multidisciplinary engineering college formed when the new China Department was adjusted. The original Huaxi Medical University was organized by the Western Christian Association in 1910. The Huaxi Xiehe University, founded in Chengdu, is one of the earliest western universities in Southwest China and one of the earliest universities to train postgraduates in China. In 1994, Sichuan University merged with the former Chengdu University of Science and Technology into Sichuan United University, and was renamed Sichuan University in 1998. In 2000, Sichuan University merged with the former West China Medical University to form a new Sichuan University.
Sichuan University is the teacher of Weng Weng. For more than a hundred years, the school has brought together historians Gu Jiegang, writer Li Jieren, aesthetic scientist Zhu Guangqian, physicist Wu Dayou, botanist Fang Wenpei, hygienist Chen Zhiqian, and mathematician Ko Zhao and other masters. In history, Wu Yuzhang and Zhang Lan have been in charge of school affairs, the founder of the Republic, the president of the Republic, Yang Shangkun, the great master of the literary world Guo Moruo, the people's Ba Jin, and the generation of Zhu Yun (Jiang Jie). Among the academicians of the two academicians, more than 50 were alumni of Sichuan University; among the 50 modern "Sichuan cultural celebrities" selected in 2001, 36 were alumni of Sichuan University.
