Experimental method of friction and wear testing machine

The present experimental methods can be classified into the following three categories:

1. According to the given working conditions, the laboratory specimen experiments were carried out on a general friction and wear tester for small size and simple structure.

Because the environmental and working conditions of laboratory experiments are easy to control, the repeatability of the experimental data is high, the experiment period is short, the range of the experimental conditions is wide, and the system data can be obtained in a short time.

However, because the experimental conditions are not completely consistent with the actual working conditions, the experimental results are often not very practical. Laboratory experiments are mainly used for the study of various types of friction and wear mechanisms and influencing factors, as well as the evaluation of friction pair materials, processes and lubricants.

2. On the basis of the laboratory experiment, the simulated bench test is based on the selected parameters to design the actual parts, simulate the actual working conditions of the parts and carry out the bench test. Because the conditions of the bench test are close to the actual working conditions, the reliability of the experimental results is enhanced. At the same time, through the intensification and strict control of the experimental conditions, the experimental data of the system can be obtained in a short time, and the control conditions can be given in advance, and the parameters of various friction and wear can be measured, and the factors affecting the friction and wear properties are studied. The main purpose of the bench test is to verify the reliability of laboratory experimental data and the rationality of parts wear performance design. The common bench test stand is: bearing test table, gear test platform, cam tappet test bench, etc.

3. On the basis of the above two experiments, the actual experiment is carried out on the actual parts, and the experiment is carried out under the actual operating conditions. The experiment has the best authenticity and reliability. However, the experimental period is long and the cost is high. The experimental results are the comprehensive expression of various influencing factors, so it is difficult to conduct in-depth analysis of the experimental results. This method is usually used as a means of testing the first two experimental data.

In the study of wear and tear, the sample experiment is usually carried out in the laboratory first, then the simulated bench test and the practical experiment are carried out to form a so-called "experiment chain".
